I love love, and marriage is my ministry. It is my calling, my passion, and my purpose.

I believe that everyone walks their own spiritual path, and couples wishing to marry should face no barriers regarding their religious beliefs.

I believe in the significance of ritual and ceremony in our lives. To mark achievements, transitions, and milestones. To recognize and appreciate all of life’s extraordinary moments.

I believe my role as officiant is essential for bringing both experience and organization to these life-changing events. I am humbled by those who put their trust in me to guide them.

I believe every wedding, from the smallest back yard ceremony to the grandest no-expense-spared affair, carries the same significance and deserves the same level of commitment and attention to detail.

I believe gratitude is the language of the Divine. “A single grateful thought turned heavenwards is the most perfect prayer.” I am eternally grateful to my couples for the experiences they have given me and the lessons they have taught me. I have grown exponentially both professionally and personally through these shared experiences.

It is my promise to you that I will be responsive to your communication,  respectful of your time, and open to your ideas. I will work closely with you to create your perfect ceremony and my hope is that it will be a fun experience that brings you closer together as a couple. I truly LOVE marrying couples! The whole process, from initial consultation to wedding day perfection, is rewarding and fun for me. I never put any limits on the amount of phone or email contact we have during the process. I know my job is only done when the ceremony is over and you are a happily married couple!

A little about me…
Most importantly, I am a wife and a mother. I have been blessed beyond belief with a wonderful family, and I am grateful for each day I have with them. (Yes, even the days when the house is a wreck and we’re all still in our pajamas at 11am!)

Before finding my calling as an officiant, I earned a BFA in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design and an MS in Recreation Administration from Georgia Southern University. I know at first glance those degrees seem unrelated to each other and most certainly unrelated to officiating, but I can tell you they have been invaluable. The marketing knowledge from the BFA combined with the event planning knowledge from working in Parks and Recreation have given me advantages that can only confirm that this is exactly the journey I was supposed to take.

In the summer of 2011, I began taking World Religions classes online through The Interfaith Seminary. I completed the Divinity degree program in January of 2013. On January 26, 2013, I was ordained in person by a Bishop of the Church of Seven Planes in Hampton Roads, Virginia.

My first couple hired me in April of 2013 and I have never looked back.

I am an ordained minister available for spiritual, Christian, non-denominational, interfaith, and civil or non-religious wedding ceremonies. I am based in Garner, North Carolina and serve Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Clayton, Fuquay-Varina, Lillington, Angier, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Wendell, Apex, Willow Springs, Knightdale, and the surrounding areas.

Update: In April of 2016 I was ordained into the Order of Melchizedek during a spiritual workshop in Virginia Beach, VA.

As a fully Ordained Interfaith Minister and Member of the Church of Seven Planes I recognize that every individual follows their own spiritual path.  I vow to be respectful of all paths of faith and to honor an individual’s personal journey towards enlightenment and truth.  Further, I acknowledge the diversity of the people of the world and I solemnly vow to carry out my duties as a Minister of the Church of Seven Planes without prejudice or judgment of any kind.

Logo COLORSo what is the deal with the heart in brackets? I chose this symbol because in music, the brace means “to connect two lines of music to be played simultaneously.” What a beautiful metaphor for marriage!
